Truth Booth Bio

What Is a Truth Booth?

Truth Booths serve as educational centers focused on two core questions:

  • What really happened on 9/11?
  • What can we do about it?

The Evidence

The Lawyers' Committee for 9/11 Inquiry — a nonprofit organization of attorneys and scientific professionals — compiled a body of evidence spanning 15–16 years of research into the events of September 11, 2001. This evidence includes:

  • Peer-reviewed scientific data
  • 118 eyewitness testimonies from FDNY firefighters
  • Forensic analysis of World Trade Center debris samples
  • Seismic data, video analysis, and expert testimony
  • 60 documented evidentiary exhibits

This evidence was organized into a 52-page petition filed with the U.S. Attorney's office demanding the convening of a Special Grand Jury to evaluate the evidence and take whatever independent actions the law permits.

The Grand Jury Petition

Despite the strength of the evidence and the clear legal basis under the 5th Amendment, courts denied the grand jury petition requests, citing a lack of "standing." These dismissals have been appealed.

The Truth Booth Initiative

The Truth Booth project seeks to bring this evidence directly to the public by displaying 12 key exhibit summaries in public spaces. Organizing a Truth Booth is described as "a legal and powerful way" for citizens to participate in the pursuit of accountability — bypassing institutional gatekeepers and putting the evidence before the people directly.

The 12 exhibits displayed are selected summaries from the full set of 60 evidentiary exhibits included in the grand jury petition.
